At a young age of 14, Michelle was given a challenge. She was to take on a burden that most of you will never fully understand. Her challenge was to fight an ugly disease, an enemy that you could not see. She would fight it with courage and grace, and with a smile on her face. She lived her life to the fullest and never took a day for granted. She loved spending time with her friends, playing sports, baking, and traveling the world. She saw so much in her short time here. 

After a long fight, Michelle passed away on January 13, 2015 due to RMS (rhabdomyosarcoma), a rare form of cancer. She left a huge mark on the world while she was here. She touched so many lives, we know she will never be forgotten. As Maya Angelou said," People will forget what you said, People will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel". To keep her spirit alive, we wanted to start a scholarship fund in her memory.
